Scrabble

Mary and Ramie take a break from an intense game of Scrabble.

My Green Thumb

We decided to plant some flowers in the little dirt area of our porch. Since Mary is conveniently on "bed rest" (which has turned more into front-room-couch rest), I did all the digging and planting. She did, however, have enough time to jump up and snap a picture, which is blurry because she was trying to get back on the couch asap. We'll add more pictures once we know all the flowers survived my planting them.

Here's Mary making curtains for the baby's room. We kind of made up the design as we went, but I think they'll look cool when they're finished. Mary made one curtain, and then ran out of time/energy/motivation to finish the second one. Looks like a project for Christian and Ramie now...

Tulip Festival

I went to a tulip festival this morning with my friend Krista and her son, Gabe. It was the perfect day to go! The weather was amazing and the flowers were really beautiful.

Easters

Happy Easter everyone! This is in front of our apartment in the little courtyard. It is so nice to have green grass and blooming trees. Hope the snow melts soon in Alaska!

First Real Game 07

Saturday was gorgeous and we spent the day up in downtown. We went to the temple in the morning and went to the Real Salt Lake home opener. We had great seats on the front row, and unfortunately a great view when FC Dallas tied the game in the 94th minute...bummer. Oh well, we look forward to more great games since we have Freddy Adu on the team. Plus we actually remembered to wear sun screen. The pictures below are from past years when we forgot that the Utah sun will burn even in the beginning of April.

Here is a picture of me and the bump that is little Jack. --->
We crossed the barrier into the 3rd trimester and he is pretty excited about it. Lots of kicking and punching the last few days. Hopefully he leaves his violent ways in the womb and is calm for us.

welcome to my crib

We decided to get the crib tonight, even though it is a little early still. It was not too hard to put together thankfully. Now all we need is the baby to put in there...and a mattress too.

Happy St Patty's Day

We went downtown to watch the St. Patrick's Day parade, which was fun. There were a few bagpipe bands (i thought bagpipes were Scottish, but i guess not...) Anyway, we had a good time, and the weather was amazing! Its been in the 60s and 70s, nice and warm. Spring is coming...

Here are some random pictures... At the St. Patricks Day parade downtown, and Mary trying to open a jar of spaghetti sauce...

Internet, finally!

Well, its a historic day at the Weggeland home. We finally have an internet connection, so expect a lot of posts from now on. We promise....
