Temple Square

Today Mary, Emily, Ramie and I went to Temple Square. My sister, Carly, works in the archives department repairing old books, and she gave us a special tour. She showed us some incredible items! We saw and touched three actual sheets of the original hand-written manuscript of the Book of Mormon. These were the sheets that Joseph Smith dictated to Martin Harris, not a copy, or the printers' copy. It was amazing. We also saw a Book of Mormon that belonged to Elvis Presley. It was interesting looking through it because Elvis had written comments through it, he even wrote in one part that Lisa (his daughter) needed this church. They showed us some other really interesting things that they had in the archives. It was a really neat experience. Afterward, we went to PF Changs for lunch, and that was delicious.
