Christmas

We like to call this "The Teething Monster." Jack has been pretty funny lately because he constantly wants something in his mouth to chew on. You have to be really careful not to get too close to his face or this normally mild mannered baby will grab your hair and lunge out you with his mouth open. It is almost like being attacked by a wild animal. It is pretty funny to watch.
We hope that everyone had a really wonderful Christmas. We sure did and will post more pictures as soon as Christian gets home with the camera!

Jumping Jacks
Here's a better quality video of Jack in his jumpy chair, professionally edited by me (Christian) and everything. The only thing missing from this video is him shrieking at the top of his lungs in a note so high and piercing, it would break glass... that'll be in the next video

Yummy Toes
When a teething ring or his thumb won't do, Jack likes to chew on his toes. Man babies are flexible!

New Video!
This video, while not very exciting, is in response to many many requests from a certain female cousin, we'll call her L. Stancliff ... no, that's too obvious.... Lucy S. The quality is not too great, and Mary is a bit of a shaky cameraman, but you do get too see Jack in his bouncy chair, which he loves. So enjoy, and there will be more and better quality to come, we promise.

Champs again!
Me and Jack getting pumped for the game. Jack went over to Aunt Lynne's house to watch, because it was a bit too cold outside for babies. He wasn't excited about being left behind, as you can see from the picture. Sorry Jack, there's always next year...
Here are a few pics from the BYU - Yewtah game today. It was an exciting game, with the Cougars pulling out the victory, 17-10. We got to go out on the field and see them win their 2nd Mountain West Conference trophy in as many years. Good times.
A Week of Firsts
On Thanksgiving we let him try sweet potatoes for the first time. Too bad his were the unsweetened pureed kind and not the wonderfully sweet ones that us adults got to eat! We went to Aunt Lynne's for dinner and it was fantastic. I have to admit it was nice not to have to cook. (It looks a little like I have a beard in this picture but it's just Jack's Thanksgiving Mohawk.)
On Friday, we went to watch the lighting of a giant Christmas tree close to our house. This was one of the times that living downtown really paid off. In addition to all of the people trying to get to the lighting festivities, there was a Jazz game about a block away. While thousands of people paid up to $12 for a parking spot, we just bundled up Jack, put him in his stroller, and walked over. It was a lot of fun.
